Hi my beautiful friends! I know the idea of going through a microblading procedure can be a bit overwhelming with all the pre-treatment precautions and post-treatment instructions. But, I wanted to break it down so you know exactly what you need to do before the procedure to ensure that it is successful.
10 Days Prior to your appointment, do not take any anti-inflammatory medications such as Advil, Aspirin, Aleve, Motrin or Ibuprofen. (Tylenol is okay to take if you need it.) Avoid supplements such as Fish Oil, Turmeric, Ginseng, Ginko, Vitamin E, & Flax Seed. Anti-inflammatories can cause excess bleeding, which can allow the pigment to bleed out during the procedure.
Skin Sensitivity: Avoid waxing and tanning for at least a week before coming in for the appointment. If the client shows up with a sunburn, it is best that we do not follow through with treatment. Also, any waxing around the brow area should be done at least 5 days ahead of the appointment.
Avoid alcohol the night before, and caffeine the day of appointment. Again, these can cause excess bleeding and should be avoided so that we are able to achieve maximum results.
If you are a new momma who is breast feeding or are pregnant, then it is best to hold off on microblading. And, I say this because I love you! Not to scare you. My pigments are plant based. However, they are not tested on pregnant women. So, it is best to proceed with caution for you and the baby.
Love this site & the information!! You are such a fantastic Brow Artist!!!
